From the Dugout...

Saturday 19th September

Rosyth 2 Dunbar 0

"Fortress Rosyth"

Rosyth started the game well and got a bit of luck when Dunbar had a man sent off for a "last man" foul, Tam Hampson then scored with a header to make it 1-0 at half-time.

In the second half Dunbar came into it more, but good defending kept them out. Kevin Goodwin added a second for the 'Rec. before Scott Morrison hit the bar with a screamer.

All in all we defended well and took our chances.

'mon Rosyth!!

Saturday 3rd October

Scottish Junior Cup

"Fast & Furious 7"

Rosyth 7 Bridge of Don 0

What a game this was, after last weeks 2-2 draw, Rosyth were after their revenge and boy they did not disappoint. We started like a train and with goals from Tam Hampson , Paddy Murphy and Kevin Goodwin we found ourselves three up at half time.

Come the second half we continued where we had left off in the first with two goals from Hampson to complete his hat-trick, and one each from Scott Russell and John McDermid.

Got to say this was a very ruthless performance from a Rosyth team who thought they were hard done by last week against a good north super league team.

End to end stuff.

05/03/2016 - Blackburn United 3 - 2

We started really poorly and found ourselves 2 down at half-time when it could have been 4.

Second half we were brilliant and got it back to 2-2 through Goodwin and Hampson.

It was end to end stuff with both teams going for it.

I felt we should have had a penalty when big Mikey was taken down in the box, and then our forward is put through, but the ref blew for offside and in my opinion was on.

Blackburn went straight up the park and scored the winner as we were still arguing, got to say the second half was one of the best end to end games I have ever seen with both goalies making great saves.

All the best to Blackburn, great set up and good bunch of boy's.

That's Life.......and football!

27/02/2016 - Rosyth 2 Kirkcaldy ym 3

Three points dropped for us today after dominating most of the game, hats off to Kirkcaldy as they defended brilliantly and took there chances when they came up.

Thought we played well today (Saturday) but got punished for our mistakes and didn't take enough of our numerous chances.

Our goals were scored by Scott Morrison and Dean Ogg ,

we will play worse this season and win!

Heads up and move on to next weeks home game against undefeated Blackburn.
