Rosyth F.C. are proud to be associated with The Cookie Jar Foundation
The work that The Cookie Jar carries out represents the personality of Christopher “Cookie” Coutts. Christopher was taken from us at the age of 19 after a valiant fight with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma cancer.
Christopher acted as an inspiration to all who knew him; not only with his fight against cancer but with other mental and learning disabilities he faced in his day-to-day life.
The role of the Cookie Jar is to continue Christopher’s legacy and to help provide the necessary tools to those who are in need.
Our main aim is to provide support to both children and those in need of help, whether it be in hospital, educational or community based environment.
We will be guided by our memory of Christopher as to what he spoke about improving during his time in hospital, and will be looking at providing funds for such things holistic treatments for patients and their families, helping the Young Persons Group based in the Maggie’s Centre Edinburgh enjoy their activities and of course looking at ways to ease the suffering of trying to find a working veins by sourcing and funding new technology.
