Code of Conduct for Coaches and Club Officials
This code applies to all coaches and club officials
We all have a responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour in the game. As a coach or club official you will be in a position of great responsibility in the development of the adults, youths and children that you work with.
You are also a role model and standard setter for your players and Parents.
We are asking every coach and club official to follow a code of conduct to honour our game.
The coaches/club officials should
Set a positive example for others, particularly young players and supporters.
Promote and develop their own team having regard to the interest of the Players, Supporters and reputation of the national game.
Share knowledge and experience when invited to do so, taking into account the interest of the body that has requested this rather than personal interests.
Avoid all forms of gamesmanship.
Show due respect to match officials and others involved in the game.
Always have regard for the best interests of the game, including where publicly expressing an opinion of the game and any particular aspect of it, including others involved in the game.
Never engage in, or tolerate, offensive, insulting or abusive
language or behaviour.
Obligation toward the team
Give priority to the team over individual interests.
Resist all illegal or unsporting influences, including banned substances and techniques.
Promote ethical principles.
Show due respect for the interests of the players, coaches and officials, their own club and others.
Show Racism the red card.
Avoid all forms of discrimination.
Obligation towards the supporters
Show due respect for the interests of supporters and spectators.
Respect towards match officials.
Work with officials and always show respect.
Avoid words or actions that may mislead a match official.
Promote Fair Play and high standards of behaviour.
Never engage in public criticism of the officials.
Adhere to any rules, policies or regulations put in place by the clubs office bearers and committee.
Adhere to any rules, policies or regulations put in place by the lease holder/owner.
Do not bring the game into disrepute.
We understand that if we do not follow the code of conduct, action could be taken by the club, leagues or national association
